Ancient Greek Reproduction Vases

When it comes to sculpture and architectural art, everybody loves the Greeks. One of the marvels of world history has always been that such a tiny area could have produced, in so short a time, the seeds of almost every subsequent cultural tradition that followed it. As thousands of artists since that time have attested, we turn to the Greeks to grow young again and bask in the glow of their incredible vitality.

The problem is that, for most people, the only place to see Greek sculpture is in a museum. This doesn't have to be the case, however. Here at Museum Replicas, we specialize in creating beautiful reproductions of some of Ancient Greece's most storied pieces, including sculptures, vases, architectural art and even bronzes.

For example, take the Amphora, "Harnessing a Chariot." This is a particularly popular piece whose original dates back to about 510 BC and can currently be found in the British Museum. This red figure vase is a veritable snapshot from ancient life. Its delicate lines evoke the paradoxical mixture of emotion and precision that is one of the hallmarks of Greek art.

We employ a cadre of dedicated artists, each of whom does his or her best to stay as faithful as possible to the original philosophy and process of the reproduced piece. The result of this faithfulness is more than just a simple duplicate. It's a second original piece of art as inspiring as the original, with the benefit of being right in your office or living room--as opposed to hundreds of miles away behind museum glass. Whether it's a single piece you're looking for or a variety of pieces, we can accommodate you. We also produce commissioned art and can be contacted at 517-775-4647 or by email at [email protected].
