Horse of Marly Guillaume Coustou The Elder (1677 - 1746) All our marble sculptures are custom made and hand carved from a solid block of natural marble. As with the original, the artist starts with a clay model that will be used as a reference to carve your replica. Your sculpture will be hand-crafted from scratch using the same materials and methods as the originals. And you’ll receive detailed progress reports, with photos, at every stage in the process. Of course, your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed. All marble sculptures are safe to use outdoors exposed in weather.
We specialize in custom design and production, which means if you have a design, we will be able to convert it into a product.

Guillaume Coustou I was the leading member of a family of French sculptors. He initially trained under his uncle Coysevox and then worked mostly for patrons in the court. Coustou spent three years in Rome from 1697 to 1700 where he was influenced by the work of Bernini. His most famous sculptures are a set of two made for the French royal chateau at Marly titled Horse Tamers. This life-size sculpture is H.86" x W.72" X D.46" (215cm X 180cm X 115cm) All marble sculptures are custom made one sculpture at a time. The artist always starts with a clay model.
